Theralyn + WhatsApp: share therapy progress with parents in one tap

Therapists already use WhatsApp to communicate with families. Theralyn makes it the final step of a complete session workflow — not the whole system.

WhatsApp is where parents live. In most child therapy practices — especially in India, UAE, UK, and Australia — WhatsApp is the default communication channel for appointment reminders, quick parent questions, and progress updates. The problem is when WhatsApp becomes the entire documentation system: scattered photos of handwritten notes, inconsistent updates, and no way to track what was shared over time. Theralyn generates a professional, structured session report and gives you a secure sharing link you paste directly into WhatsApp. Parents get a clean, readable report. You keep a structured record.

How the workflow works

From session start to parent sharing — the complete Theralyn + WhatsApp workflow.

1

Run the session

Track goals, record DTT trials, log ABC data, and add session observations using Theralyn's live session execution screen during the therapy session itself. Nothing to reconstruct afterward.

2

Session ends — report is ready

When you end the session in Theralyn, a structured session report is automatically compiled from the data you collected. Goals, performance, observations, and next session notes are all in one place.

3

Copy the secure link

Theralyn generates a secure 7-day parent sharing link for the session report. One click copies it to your clipboard. The link is unique to this session and expires after 7 days.

4

Paste into WhatsApp

Open your WhatsApp conversation with the parent and paste the link. No attachment. No PDF export. No formatting. The parent taps the link and reads the report in their browser — instantly.

What this means in practice

No PDF attachment — parents open the report directly in their phone browser

Secure 7-day link expires automatically — no permanent public URL for health data

Works in every country where WhatsApp is available

Every shared report is logged against the session in Theralyn's record

Parents don't need a Theralyn account, login, or app download

Works on any device — Android, iPhone, desktop browser

Common questions

Is sharing a session report via WhatsApp link HIPAA-safe?

The link is unique, secure, and expires after 7 days with a maximum of 10 accesses. The report is served over HTTPS. For full HIPAA compliance, you should assess whether WhatsApp itself (as a messaging channel) meets your practice's BAA requirements. Many practices use WhatsApp for parent communication under their own policies.

What does the parent see when they open the link?

Parents see a clean, professionally formatted session report with their child's name, the date, goals addressed, performance notes, and therapist observations — written in plain language, not clinical jargon. No login, no account, no app.

Can I share the same session report with multiple people (e.g., both parents or a support coordinator)?

Yes. You can copy the link and share it with multiple people. The link is the same for each recipient, and it expires after 7 days or 10 accesses.

What if I want to share via SMS or email instead of WhatsApp?

The secure link works in any messaging channel — SMS, email, Telegram, or any other platform. Paste it wherever your parent communication happens.
