What is Theralyn?
Theralyn is a therapy session management platform built for ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) practices. It replaces Excel, Word documents, and WhatsApp for session planning, goal tracking, report generation, and parent sharing — in under 5 minutes per session.
Which therapy types does Theralyn support?
Theralyn supports Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), and Physical Therapy (PT) — each with discipline-specific data collection built in, like DTT trial data and ABC behavior logging for ABA, or range-of-motion and pain-scale tracking for PT. Play Therapy, CBT, and other modalities are also supported with standard session tracking, with specialized templates for those on the roadmap.
When will Theralyn officially launch?
Early access is open now — you can create your account today and start planning sessions immediately. We're continuing to roll out new features based on direct feedback from early clinics, and founding member pricing is locked in for everyone who signs up during this period.
What is the best ABA therapy documentation software?
The best ABA documentation tool is one that fits how your sessions actually run — not one built for adult mental health or generic clinic workflows. Theralyn is purpose-built for ABA, OT, and SLP, with goal tracking, behavior counters, and one-click session reports that share directly with parents.
What software do occupational therapists use for session notes?
Most OTs currently use a mix of paper notes, Word documents, or general practice management tools not designed for child therapy. Theralyn is built specifically for OT workflows — including fine motor goals, sensory processing activities, and progress reports formatted for parents.
Can Theralyn replace paper-based therapy notes?
Yes. Theralyn is designed to eliminate paper notes entirely. You plan the session in the app, track goals live during the session, and generate a professional report in one click. Everything is saved securely and searchable.
Can independent therapists use Theralyn, or is it only for clinics?
Both. Independent practitioners get their own private workspace the moment they register — no clinic required. Clinic owners can additionally create an organization account and invite multiple therapists, with org-level reporting and shared activity libraries.

How much will Theralyn cost?
Theralyn is completely free today — every feature included, no credit card required. Paid plans are coming soon, priced in both INR and USD: Solo & Small Clinic at ₹1,499/month ($49/month), and Team at ₹3,999/month ($99/month) for up to 10 therapists. Anyone using Theralyn before paid plans launch keeps a founding member discount locked in for life. You'll receive 30 days' notice before any pricing changes.
Is there a free therapy session report template?
Theralyn generates professional session reports automatically from your live session data — no template needed, and it's free to use today. We'll also be releasing downloadable templates (ABA, OT, SOAP format) as standalone resources.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export all your session records, child profiles, and reports before cancelling. We don't hold your data hostage. After account closure, your data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently deleted.
Do founding members really get lifetime discounted pricing?
Yes. Anyone using Theralyn before paid plans launch keeps a founding member discount for as long as they stay subscribed — even as prices rise for new customers or premium features are added to higher tiers.
Do you support pricing in Indian Rupees (INR)?
Yes. Theralyn's pricing page shows both INR and USD — switch currencies with the toggle at the top of the plans. India is our primary market and every future paid plan will bill in INR for Indian clinics.
Security & Compliance
Is Theralyn HIPAA-compliant?
We are not currently HIPAA-certified. ABA, OT, and speech therapy in school and outpatient settings frequently falls outside HIPAA's covered entity definition — but we take data security seriously regardless. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Each clinic's data is logically isolated and never shared with third parties. HIPAA BAA support is on our near-term roadmap.
How is my session and client data secured?
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Each organization's data is logically isolated — queries are scoped by organization ID at the database level, making cross-tenant data access architecturally impossible, not just policy-restricted.
Is child therapy data subject to COPPA or FERPA?
It depends on your setting. School-based therapists should consult their district's privacy officer. Private practice therapists working outside of school settings may not be subject to FERPA. We'll publish a compliance guide before general availability. Email us with specific questions.
Features & Workflow
Do parents need to create an account to view session reports?
No — and that's by design. Parents receive a secure, time-limited link (valid 7 days by default). They click it and instantly see a beautifully formatted progress report. No app download, no account creation, no friction.
How to share therapy progress reports with parents without an app?
Theralyn generates a secure shareable link for every session report. You send it to parents via WhatsApp, SMS, or email — they open it in any browser. No app needed on their end. The link expires after 7 days for security.
How do ABA therapists track discrete trial training (DTT) data?
In Theralyn, you set up DTT goals with target attempts and mastery criteria before the session. During the session, you tap counters for correct, prompted, and incorrect responses. After the session, trial data is automatically compiled into the session report.
Can multiple therapists use the same Theralyn account?
Yes. Clinic owners can invite multiple therapists to their organization. Each therapist has their own login, sees only their assigned sessions, and contributes to the shared activity library. Org admins see aggregate reporting across all therapists.
Does Theralyn send automatic parent reminders?
Not yet — parent reminders are on our roadmap. Currently, you share report links manually via WhatsApp, email, or SMS. Automated parent communication is planned for a future release.
Does Theralyn support CPT codes on reports?
Yes. Reports include a CPT code field validated against a built-in code list for each therapy discipline. This isn't a full billing or insurance-claims system — there's no clearinghouse integration — but it keeps your documentation consistent with standard coding.
Does Theralyn support supervisor review of reports?
Yes. Reports written by staff therapists automatically route to the clinic admin for review and cosign before they can be finalized — a built-in supervisory check. It's a proxy-supervisor model today (there's no dedicated BCBA/clinical-supervisor role yet), but it gives clinic owners visibility before a report goes out.
What is the difference between a session template and an activity?
An activity is a single therapeutic task — like 'Stacking blocks (fine motor)' or 'Matching letters (ABA)'. A session template is a pre-built collection of activities for a specific child or session type. You build templates once and reuse them across sessions.
What is the difference between ABA therapy software and general therapy software?
General therapy software (like SimplePractice) is built for adult mental health — scheduling, billing, SOAP notes. ABA therapy software needs behavioral data collection, DTT trial recording, ABC data, goal mastery tracking, and structured parent reports. Theralyn is built for ABA, OT, and SLP from the ground up.
Getting Started
How long does it take to set up Theralyn?
Most therapists are running their first session within 30 minutes of signing up. You add your children, build an activity library (or use our starter templates), set up session goals, and go. No lengthy onboarding or IT setup required.
Does Theralyn work on iPad or mobile?
Yes. Theralyn is a web app that works on any modern browser — desktop, iPad, or mobile. The session execution screen is optimized for touchscreens so you can tap counters during live sessions. A native iOS/Android app is on the roadmap.
How does Theralyn compare to SimplePractice?
SimplePractice is excellent for adult mental health practices — billing, scheduling, telehealth. It is not built for ABA data collection, pediatric therapy workflows, or real-time behavioral tracking. Theralyn focuses on what child therapists actually need: session planning, goal tracking, and instant parent reports.
Can I import my existing client records into Theralyn?
We're building CSV import for child profiles and historical session data. During early access, our team will help you migrate manually if needed — just email hello@theralyn.co and we'll sort it out.
